idea that was floated that a core group of schools, namely UVA, VT, NCSU and UNC want to keep the ACC together. We all know that UNC is the scorpion that will bite the frog. But NCSU voting "No" is very interesting. A lot of these are "show" votes that are orchestrated. Of those four, UNC has the strongest hand. Was UVA too scared to vote no and anger in-state politicians and then horse-traded with NCSU? But if so, then is UNC going to have to pull NCSU into a conference with them? Which now might be at the expense of UVA? If UNC, NCSU and UVA end up in the B10 then I guess that makes VT more attractive to the SEC. The only other thing I can think of is that NCSU is located in tech hub Raleigh. I would have thought that adding Stanford and Cal would appeal to them, but maybe they feared encroachment. This four "No" votes and the fact the VA and NC schools took different sides is a real headscratcher to me. Please respond if you have some insight.
