Let’s just go an abandon that for UVA. Because. UVA. They’re in Virginia…even though nobody in Virginia watches them play football. But since we are the Big Ten, that means everybody in Virginia will start watching UVA play football, right? The only reason UVA ever got mentioned was because a year ago it was thought UNC wanted UVA to go with them. Does someone have a take on these FOUR "No" votes, it runs counter to the

My take: the 4 non-academic schools voted no.**

If ND wants to add those 2 schools, maybe they should join and vote also .**

ND gets a vote now**

Once some schools knew there were 4 no votes, it was over and everybody

Ok. This makes sense. It was strategic window dressing and everyone
TDVick 08/13/23 01:31 PM ET
Somewhat so IMO, the 🍀wouldn’t add 1 game with a team they already play,

There wasn’t a vote. 4 no’s doesn’t mean 11 yes votes.
hokieZ71 08/13/23 07:49 AM ET
Agreed a waste of time to try and "analyze " this as it signifies little.**
Vippie1 08/13/23 08:25 AM ET
Yes it was an unofficial vote or a non-vote, but the allocation of whatever

Honestly I think the best both VT and UVA can hope for in the short term

I think that UVA is in a lot better spot than we are. Do you think they

Stanford didn’t get a sniff from the Big Ten.

That's not true. B1G Presidents wanted Stanford & Cal. Fox was the problem

The Canes No vote didn't count because of a hanging chad ballot.**

I'm a little disappointed Tech didn't vote "No"

If UNC is sufficiently accretive, they can pull in NCSU at a full payout
TDVick 08/13/23 07:25 AM ET
Nah I think that’s a “VT-focused” look at what’s going on.
hokieZ71 08/13/23 08:12 AM ET
I agree. we know that about the FSU, UNC and Clemson, but WHY did NCSU vote
TDVick 08/13/23 08:20 AM ET
NC State has the same governing body as UNC.
hokieZ71 08/13/23 08:22 AM ET
To some degree, you're saying that UNC has much bigger pull politically
TDVick 08/13/23 08:29 AM ET
I want there to be more no votes, not less.**

I would like VT in the SEC, reformed ACC, Big 12, Big 10 in that order
