If a team is borderline from potentially either hosting a 1st Round game or receiving a 1st Round bye, then winning the CCG could be enough to move a P2 team high enough in the final poll to achieve that goal. Likewise, it would also mean another team (dare I say an ACC team, Big XII team, or P2 at-large team from the opposite conference) has been bumped out of that slot. In some ways, it may not be that much different than Bump Day for the Indianapolis 500.
