getting Lane Kiffin to walk the line now that he’s at one of the top recruiting schools in the SEC. Kiffin has always been able to recruit, but he left Ole Miss because Saban told him LSU would be much easier to get the highest rated talent. Saban even implied that it was easier to recruit to LSU than Alabama.
Back to the topic, I think it was easier for Sankey to keep the other SEC schools in line when Saban dominated, but that era is over with NIL, Portal and no Saban IMHO. The fact that it’s gone public about some SEC schools wanting 24 and Sankey doesn’t, is a huge shift in the situation. It will be interesting to see if he can reel them back in.
