Ah, the point about travel, the true tell of a troll...

You know where Dallas is, right? DFW is the third-largest airport on the planet and you can also fly direct into Love Field from most ACC campuses. Yeah, Stanford and Cal are a haul but you can knock out two games on the trip and it's certainly not much different than the preseason tournaments or invitationals that many teams travel long distances to. "Everyone else was playing politics and not voting for a position they knew would lose no matter what. That's why it wasn't closer to to the margin." SMU, Stanford and Cal needed 12/15 votes to be approved. Please don't tell me you thought that expansion only required a simple majority vote. FSU, Clemson and UNC did not need to "form a majority" as you erroneously stated; any of the 12 that voted yes could have switched their vote at the last minute and torpedoed the whole thing. The night before the vote, it was clear that only one more "no" vote was needed. I guess Miami, Louisville, VT, Pitt and others are just puppets for those ultra-powerful boosters in Winston-Salem! Puh-leeze. ALL of these schools are acting in their own self-interest. And 12/15 of them disagree with you. Thanks for reading and Pony Up!

What's going on with the ESPN/ACC renewal?
RandomAsianGuy 01/13/25 09:13 PM ET
There is zero chance Disney decides not to renew the ACC contract.
Baltimore_Hokie 01/14/25 10:34 AM ET
Yes, I believe Disney will definitely renew.
RandomAsianGuy 01/14/25 01:02 PM ET
The ACC is not going to remain #3.
Baltimore_Hokie 01/14/25 03:15 PM ET
The ACC is the Ottoman Empire c. 1900.
Maroon Baboon 01/15/25 04:33 PM ET
Agree 100%. Anyone that argues otherwise-
Baltimore_Hokie 01/15/25 04:55 PM ET
Disagree. Fantasy worst case scenario. 1 among many scenarios good and bad.**
VTinSC 01/15/25 10:06 AM ET
That's a very nice opinion.
Baltimore_Hokie 01/15/25 12:04 PM ET
It’s all spec and with things ongoing on fb world I would not speculate at
VTinSC 01/15/25 01:34 PM ET
Disagree but I will explain my view later. **
RandomAsianGuy 01/14/25 07:22 PM ET
I look forward to reading your thoughts.**

Started a new thread.**
RandomAsianGuy 01/15/25 01:59 PM ET
I agree that there will not be a clear #3 football conference with

A couple thoughts in response:

Love, love, love all the SMU hate...!!!!
SMU Pony 01/15/25 01:21 AM ET
You're such an idiot, that this all-time idiot post required two responses.

You can't read, and even if you could, you can't think.
Baltimore_Hokie 01/16/25 10:11 AM ET
SMU might be in the ACC to stay, but I assure you a lot of programs aren't.
Baltimore_Hokie 01/15/25 12:10 PM ET
To add to your #3, it's also self serving for the ACC staff
HokieAl 01/14/25 05:32 PM ET
I firmly believe that Disney/ESPN are actively trying to break the ACC up-
Baltimore_Hokie 01/14/25 05:58 PM ET
Good response. Lets go backwards on your points.
Big12 guy 01/14/25 05:28 PM ET
More thoughts in response:
Baltimore_Hokie 01/14/25 05:56 PM ET
Why is there so little reporting on an issue this big?
33laszlo99 01/14/25 12:38 AM ET
What would you expect to hear reported?
Pylons 01/14/25 05:20 PM ET
All true. But I see endless reports about coaching changes, PAC/MWC
33laszlo99 01/14/25 09:03 PM ET
After the endless speculation about ESPN dropping the ACC
RandomAsianGuy 01/15/25 12:49 AM ET
I guess it's not just a simple renewal.
RandomAsianGuy 01/14/25 12:58 PM ET
What will The ACC offer in return? ESPN doesn't have to pay a penny more.
33laszlo99 01/15/25 11:10 AM ET
Don't forget that there are negotiations about uneven distributions. **
Big12 guy 01/14/25 04:54 PM ET
That’s an ACC internal matter. **
RandomAsianGuy 01/14/25 07:17 PM ET
I agreee, their is a business case for the ACC
1947Sunbowl 01/13/25 11:26 PM ET
Agreed
RandomAsianGuy 01/14/25 12:50 PM ET
Why is #3 so important to you? It doesn't even come close to
Big12 guy 01/14/25 05:01 PM ET
Because the ACC will need to backfil with certain B12 schools
RandomAsianGuy 01/14/25 07:20 PM ET
That's sort of what I expect.
