The only way the uneven rev dist model will "save" the ACC is if the top-

brands are getting payouts that are basically equal with the SEC and Big 10 teams. That's never going to happen even with the "success initiatives," but let's assume it does - there's only so much money from ESPN to go around the horn - if the top flight of the ACC is getting P2 money, then 3/4 of the conference will end up getting top flight AAC level money. We're talking about the ACC here, where Wake Forest and Boston College get equal votes and are therefore empowered to run the show. That kind of deal will never stand. The dog turds of the ACC will only go along to get along to the extent they feel they have a financial leg up on the programs they think are beneath them. That's why I have become convinced that, once 2028-2030 gets here, if the P2 decide to keep the gate closed, and there are zero reasons in the existing record to think they won't, then the only other solution for ACC or Big 12 programs that are unhappy with the status quo is going to be to jettison the dog turds. ** Edited by Baltimore_Hokie at 5/21/2026, 10:56:38 AM
