I agree with most of your post, except that I really

don't think ND will ever be in the B12. from where I'm sitting, unless the new contract they are negotiating pays for them to join the B12 in some fashion, they are too expensive. Now, it is possible, since the B12 has many media partners, NBC could buy those ND games, and that might nudge ND to the B12 - but it just doesn't make any sense from where I'm sitting. As far as scheduling for ND football, the recent 10 year scheduling agreement with Clemson has my attention. They could make a similar agreement with just about any other school, in the BIG, B12, SEC, and ACC. I don't think many schools would reject that type of arrangement. I think that is how they fill out their football schedule. I do think NBC would like the rights to ND away games, as well as their home games, and that just isn't possible until 2036 with the present arrangement. We will find out the closer we get to 2036, but an ACC schedule without FSU or Miami dilutes the arrangement even further, and I don't ND will stick around if schools start to leave the ACC. this will all come down to the money the B12 receives with their new contract. With the 4 corners addition, there is some leverage. If some good schools from the ACC are in the mix, that gives even more quality content, add ND, and there is even more leverage. While I'm not predicting that will happen, the top 1/2 of the ACC, and the top 1/2 of the B12 will be looking for more money to be able to compete with the P2. 2036 is too far away for a contract adjustment with the ACC, so something will happen, as the status quo is untenable. BTW, the B12 could get a scheduling agreement with ND for 2-4 games without taking their other sports, as the Big East is a much better fit. NBC could certainly pony up some money for the rights to those games.

GT has 1? Clemson has 1? 1 doesn't cut it if you don't have a conference
