Is it naive for a major institution not annointed by the P2

to try and chase a place that does not want or need you and waste a lot of money in the process. Your post is based on "want BIG time power 2 football" that assumes there is some earning path for lots of schools to get there. I think this whole re alignment is for big media to weed out maybe 3/4s of D1 football. The question is not whether VT wants big time football but whether big time football decides VT can add enough to big time football to give us a shot. We have little power, they have just about all the power.
