I could really care less what FSU and/or Clemson do.

If someone doesn't want to be in a conference, let'em go. Pay the agreed upon withdrawal amounts, and don't let the door hit you where the good lord split ya. And, as far as your opining on "...they are negotiating how much money to leave at the door,..." shame on the ACC if they are negotiating. They signed onto the agreement(s), so pay up and get out.
