OK, but the capital investment is being made with the conference,
not the individual schools. GOR, as we have thought of it in the past, has not gone through the legal system to determine their validity. We thought we might see a ruling with the FSU/Clemson suit, but they settled. We might see it with the PAC and MW, but if I remember, that is suit is more focused on penalties. When Texas left the B12, there was also another "settlement".
PE, or capital investment have been looked at by all the conferences, and have been discussed on this board. IMO it may work at the conference or association level, but giving up future potential revenue for money today doesn't seem to wash at the university level IMO.
I don't see why the BIG wouldn't go through with this without USC or Michigan. As mentioned in another post, it's not like either school will leave the BIG, and the PE firm may take that risk without them.
