Could be the case, but if so, I believe they will need to take NCSU with

them. I think if Virginia Tech doesn't get an SEC invite, they will still have a chance at a B1G invite either now or down the road, but I doubt it for NCSU. I will also say things looked hopeless for Virginia Tech getting in the ACC in 2003, but sometimes strong leaders stand up and change everything almost overnight. If UNC goes alone and screws their own state, actions don't always have immediate consequences, but what goes around eventually comes around.
