How hard will UNC push back on the Board of Governors on their authorities? All ready the state in the academic side, have had serious problems with UNC Chapel Hill, in working collaboratively with the State on other campuses. Many times the President doesn't even go to venues where all the NC System presidents meet with the Dean of the System. If UNC (and their big money folks) push too hard, the push back could be even more micro management of the UNC Chapel Hill. if UNC has political acumen, they need to get into bed with NC State and work together, not chapel Hill versus the rest, but 1) UNC Chapel Hill has an interim president and 2) Not too much alignment between the 2 schools. I do think the Commonwealth is different, at all levels all branches of government. local state, and the congressional delegation, all unified that UVA and VT will not be separated.
