In Flugaur's case he is a B1G shill and since Day One the B1G has been about destroying competitor conferences the PAC 12 and the ACC, ironic given the Alliance. The fact is despite their sizeable resource advantage the B1G was never able to separate themselves competitively on the fields or courts from those two and they have looked to destabilize them as viable conferences. They succeeded with the PAC 12 and are on their way with the ACC. The SEC has never had a problem on the field or courts so their moves are less about destroying competing conferences but, rather building the best conference they can and they have succeeded. They are now in the mode of protecting their turf and consolidating power. We are now in the third act where it is all about the P2 with their network partners consolidating power and solidifying turf. The issue now is that all the extraneous stuff including NIL, employees, Title IX, etc. clouds the picture. All this does make for good message board fodder but, everybody is guessing until the networks come to the table with their checkbooks and marching orders.
