compete in basketball no matter which conference they are in. Football, however, is a different story. They have a coach, and are building a stadium. Will that be enough to recruit a competitive team? We think so - but they have a much better path to the post season where they are - and that is key to a fan (me). Honestly, I went through this, and KU has NEVER generated the kind of money Texas does, and never will. That doesn't not mean that they can't beat them on the gridiron or the court. I'm way OK with my school not being in the P2. That being said - there are some schools that would bring value and maybe a better, more competitive contract in the future in football - but they happen to be in the ACC. After that, there is no reason to expand in football - so the B12 can position themselves to be the premiere basketball conference - and that is where a KU belongs. Honestly, I'm OK with that.
