Washington won't get in ahead of FSU.

The selection committee won't pick a school from a dead conference if they don't have to.

So FSU is already scheduling like they are in the SEC playing North Alabama
OrlandoHokie 11/16/23 10:25 PM ET
Seems FSU & Clemson have done this for a while
HOO86 11/17/23 07:43 PM ET
Clemson did the same thing scheduling UNC before the Gamechickens
ren_hoek 11/17/23 02:04 PM ET
Clemson is favored by 7.5 points. **
tarheelblue 11/17/23 05:23 PM ET
SEC & ACC need to go to 9 conference games. These games are stupid.**
reestuart 11/17/23 12:59 PM ET
Call me greedy, but I want 10 conference games.
Maroon Baboon 11/18/23 10:47 AM ET
I'm happy going to 9 now...maybe the scheduling will have F$U visit VT?
EDGEMAN 11/20/23 10:45 AM ET
Me too…4 OOC games allows cupcake games
MrBayAreaHokie 11/18/23 10:48 PM ET
When ESPN is willing to pay more $ for a 9th conference game it will happen
tarheelblue 11/17/23 05:14 PM ET
exactly and GT Lville, FSU and Clemson do not want 9 games
Mercury 11/17/23 10:33 PM ET
I can't believe they haven't demanded it. That SEC schedule this weekend
reestuart 11/17/23 05:19 PM ET
Read an article today than an undefeated FSU may not make the playoffs. If
Big12 guy 11/17/23 06:48 PM ET
I think FSU is plenty safe. UF and LSU OOC is plenty. **

Washington won't get in ahead of FSU.
tarheelblue 11/17/23 08:49 PM ET
I’m hoping Georgia kicks Alabama to oblivion.
RJHokie 11/17/23 07:03 PM ET
Can all of the schools you listed lose? That is what I hope for.**
Big12 guy 11/17/23 10:10 PM ET
Not this week……
RJHokie 11/17/23 10:17 PM ET
That would be great, my thoughts precisely !**
FLKEYSHOKIE 11/17/23 07:53 PM ET
The problem with 9 conference games is it limits a team's OOC game options
VTHokie2000 11/17/23 01:51 PM ET
You're right. It does.
HOO86 11/17/23 07:36 PM ET
Big Ten seems to manage it. Same with P12 (RIP) and Big XII. ACC & SEC are
reestuart 11/17/23 02:03 PM ET
If you look at the top Big Ten teams, then you will see most (maybe all)
VTHokie2000 11/17/23 02:43 PM ET
ACC and SEC aren't playing 2 OOC P5 opponents. Many don't play 1.
reestuart 11/17/23 02:47 PM ET
Big10 teams don't play more than 1 P4 OOC game
mrcaniac 11/17/23 07:27 PM ET
Every ACC and SEC team is required to schedule at least 1 OOC game against
VTHokie2000 11/17/23 02:58 PM ET
BC 2023 ooc: Northern IL, Holy Cross, Army, UConn**
daveinop 11/17/23 03:08 PM ET
I guess the ACC considers Army on that list too even though I can't find
VTHokie2000 11/17/23 03:56 PM ET
BC was supposed to play Ohio State this year and next
mrcaniac 11/17/23 03:21 PM ET
