They can choose between Baylor, SMU, TCU, Houston, Rice, and Texas Tech. Basically pull from the Southwest Conference. Oklahoma State, Kansas, Kansas State, and Iowa State are there too from the Big 8. I was expecting the Big Ten to take Kanas, but so far they haven't. Kansas and Missouri should be in the Big Ten. But they went to the west coast instead. It will be interesting to see if they like that in five years. I know most Big Ten fans hate Maryland and Rutgers in there, but this is a different level altogether. But so far the ACC has wanted to stay contiguous adding states. We've had to work around the departure of Maryland. Navy adds it back. We've been working through additions from the Big East and Metro Conferences. What we need is new states. That's what WVU and Cincinnati do. It's also what the others on my list do to the south. Adding schools on the West Coast looks good on paper, but I think we'd all hate it if we did it. Texas is a compromise. I don't know what Jim Phillips is going to do. So far it looks like he's sitting on his duff. I'm hoping he's planning the next move privately, but don't know that. I'd do WVU and Cincinnati now, and then look to the gulf states and Tennessee for more football. I've always liked USF, but we don't really need another from Florida.
