The ACC is in transition at our basketball powers needing to replace legendary coaches at UNC, Duke, and soon Syracuse. We will need to get through that in good shape, but yes the ACC can excel in basketball. This would make basketball an important aspect of an addition. WVU has both football and basketball. Kansas and UConn have basketball. I'm intrigued by this PAC12 idea. Having Stanford, Cal, Oregon, and Washington would be big for the ACCN subscriber money. And I like you am not interested in worrying about ND any longer. Leave then in the current deal and make the ACC long term decisions not worrying about ND. The reason ESPN signed up the ACC and is promoting the ACCN is regarding basketball. ESPN views the SEC as their football property. But because they view the ACC as their basketball league, they shouldn't let it dwindle.
