I agree exactly with the Meadowlark's premise. No doubt Title IX considerations always impact the decisions to add or subtract sports and women are more likely to be the beneficiary due to Title IX and the huge headcount disparity of football. However, I think the decision is a little more complicated than a zero sum game purely to benefit women at the expense of men.
