That just doesn’t make realistic sense.

This whole thing sucks because all of the contrived ways teams can get selected. It sucks long enough and fans will reject it, unless it has continuous expansion like the NCAA tournament. So…either it becomes auto bids, with set conferences getting set bids or it becomes a 32 team playoff in a decade or two. And hey, we all make it then!
