I'm OK with that as well. How much would their playoff payouts

change if it was a contest between only the BIG and SEC? Better yet, how much would a playoff pay for the rest of college football? I say, let the P2 pay their players, and the rest of us can join a college athletic association that puts emphasis on education, the student athlete, gets government anti trust, and let the media money fall where it may. Include march madness, and all other non rev sports championships. Include FCS, and you could have something very special - like college football.

What's not to like about the 14-team playoff (4-4-2-2-1-1)?

Do they realize this sets up an inferior P2 bumping a superior team?
Truthahn 12/27/24 01:55 PM ET
In their eyes the top 8 P2 teams are never inferior to a non P2 team. **

Reminds me of the Champions League (European Soccer)

At least England and Spain did not set that up themselves.

Why are you peddling that P2 propaganda?

Everyone needs to remember the expanded playoff has nothing to do with...

I agree, so if it comes to 4-4-? IMO we opt out. Have our own play off.**

I think they would go to 16 with the top seeds getting home

12 teams is already too many. They should have just gone with 8.**
