Auto bids for P2 would be total capitulation by everyone else. Is the P2 afraid to earn it on the field even with their weaker OOC schedules? (Note there is now hard data confirming that the BIG and SEC have much weaker OOC schedules each year, leading to inflated rankings). The P2 just want more money and control. Any given year under the current 12 team format we are going to have 3-5 teams from the G5, ACC, and B12. In a really strong year it could even be 6 teams. And that is the control and power and money that the P2 is afraid of putting at risk. This is all a long con game and this baseless pandering to the P2 has to stop.
