it will bring more travel, less interest, and eventually the end of the ACC

a sad day for a conference we once celebrated getting into. I don't see how VT or any other member school could have voted for this with a straight face. Must be pretty dire to have to do this. For once, I side with UNC. Gone are the giddy days of 2004. This is the beginning of the end for this league, sorry to say. Atlantic Coast? More like Alternate Coast Conference Say what you want, but no one already in the ACC in their right mind celebrates this. And SMU? what a joke...

Hate this move, but this may bring a tad of stability. **

Agreed. A little more money and viability for a few years to survive. **

I was hopeful for ACC post the current agreement with 2-4 defections
Colonel Jessup 09/01/23 08:55 AM ET
If the ACC loses four schools, and VT is not one of them. B12 will start to

Not sure I like it either but ND adding a 6th game would make it palliative
Hokester 09/01/23 08:36 AM ET
Palliative care for a terminal patient. That makes sense.
lawhokie 09/01/23 08:52 AM ET
Did they add a 6th game?
EDGEMAN 09/01/23 08:39 AM ET
No idea. I am just hoping.**

I doubt we did, but we will know soon if Stanford stays on the schedule. **
