I'm with you. I think there is an antiquated media bias that thinks Miami

is some huge "must have" school. I think the SEC would be fine to take FSU which fits the SEC model to a 'T' and let Miami die on the vine. With the 2 biggest fanbases in the state. Miami would become irrelevant entirely. The BIG wouldn't care much either. There is nothing about Miami and/or Florida that makes them a good fit for the BIG. It's a big TV market, but the U isn't a big draw in that market. The SEC has always understood what drives college football ... passionate fans and rivalries. One supports the other. You don't need to worry about specific media markets if you have a whole freaking state interested in your product. If the SEC has any futher targets, Miami ain't one of them. It'd be Clemson, FSU, UNC, VT, NCSU, and GT/UVa in that order because those additions would create instant rivalries that carry passionate fan bases in football.

People are factoring VT into this as if we would be playing in the Coastal.

They need to find landing spots for 8 ACC teams if they are going to go
TDVick 08/08/22 12:42 AM ET
I think SEC gobbles up FSU, Miami, Clemson, GT?, and 1 each of NC and Va.
BBBDatVT_ 08/07/22 11:57 PM ET
SEC has no interest in GT.**

Once again, I just don't see Miami as a "hot commodity"
EDGEMAN 08/08/22 08:16 AM ET
ESPN can sell the crap out of most SEC vs Miami matchups. I Think Miami is

Have to wonder if that's just a disinformation campaign to hide...

Will never happen, they will add West Coast first to join with USC/UCLA.**

What's your prediction? VT's left out? If not, what's your division setup?
BBBDatVT_ 08/08/22 12:48 AM ET
So, what’s your prediction? Bring it. **
BBBDatVT_ 08/07/22 08:24 PM ET
So, VT has no chance at the B1G or SEC? Wanna bet?
BBBDatVT_ 08/07/22 07:07 PM ET
It depends if the B1G & SEC go beyond 20.
Old Line Hokie 08/07/22 07:22 PM ET
If all of those teams come from the ACC, we are definitely in.
Truthahn 08/07/22 08:29 PM ET
Somewhat agreed. I think the new B1G and SEC are both over 20.
BBBDatVT_ 08/07/22 07:26 PM ET
There is a huge gap between not being part of the P2 and being relegated
133743Hokie 08/07/22 08:24 PM ET
Not when the B1G and SEC become pro leagues.
BBBDatVT_ 08/08/22 12:49 AM ET
We will be much closer to the Mac than SEC. Zero chance at a title.
