Every team that has won a natty recently had periods where they were told they were done. Michigan before Harbaugh, OSU before Tressell and Meyer, Alabama before Saban, Georgia before Smart, USC before Carroll, Oklahoma before Stoops, Clemson before Dabo. All of these schools were left for dead. FSU is in one of, if not the best talent rich states. Some might say they have a better profile than Florida. If they get the right coach, they have all the resources to win again, especially if they get in a conference that will associate them with the other football powers. Will they? Who knows but they are not a dead forever program.
