There are so many different ways one can separate the top 30-40

football programs, but so what? If they break away, will they be able to claim a true basketball national champion? Or any other college sport other than football? I think not. If they take the football money for themselves, why in the world would the rest of college athletics let them participate in anything else? The NCAA shares the tournament money with all of division 1 basketball programs, and the units are based on merit. If the college football playoffs can not do the same, and the P2 break football away? Let them have their cake, and eat it too. The rest of us will participate in college athletics.
