I think any media deal now arranged would falter. I have heard several times that Oregon is desperate to leave. I heard that Phil Knight approached the B1G saying he would pay the difference to Oregon on any reduced share the B1G would offer Oregon. What is a few tens of millions a year to a man that has tens of billions? I also cannot see the PAC adding any Mountain West schools with the buy out doubled to $34 Million. Who is going to pay that for San Diego State? Anybody the PAC can still get is not ever going to help the media deal. Lose just several more schools. The PAC remainders will be absorbed into the Mountain West. I remember the Big Eight and SWC. Proud conferences with great college football games. Those were the two conferences I followed as a youth. I had an older sister in Kansas. I didn't care a hoot about the SEC back then. I think Arkansas is in the SEC due to Frank Broyles. Broyles.liked Doug Dickey and lot of people in Georgia. Broyles was a star QB at Georgia Tech and was All-SEC in 1944 & 1946.
