When my oldest was in high school, absolutely enjoyed his games as much as an VT game. My middle kid played college water polo for 4 years. Weekend tournaments are 3-4 games with no admission except for the conference tournaments, and then it was something like $10 a day to watch as many as 8 games plus spending time with him between and after games. He also swam, and my daughter is a D1 swimmer. A weekend champs meet is trials/finals for $10 a day. After the kids got in sports, it opened up my eyes to how much I was too involved and wrapped up in VT football with so many other things I could have been doing at a far, far less cost. Now that middle kid has graduated, we'll still be going to Fall polo tournaments for GW and USNA.
