We're clearly approaching a major inflection point in college football-
which means we're at a major inflection point in college sports. Everyone (meaning the broadcasters and the top 10-12 programs) think everything is gangbusters right now, but the vast majority of people that actually love and follow college football will tell you that they've never been as disinterested and disappointed in the sport. Real fans have been sold out for casual viewers. Unless you follow one of the top 10-12 programs in the country, you've been entirely sold out. You don't matter. You're expected to eat your slop and like it.
That never works out in the long run. There's a reason the NFL has replaced the MLB as the most prominent and popular professional sports league in the country. All you need to do is examine how both leagues are run, and you will begin to understand why college football is headed off a cliff.
