Greg Flugaur of the youtube channel Peek Around The Corner had a brief update on Virginia Tech at the 0:44 minute mark of this video and he might have more info today. He received an e-mail from a Virginia Tech insider and he uses the term money perch to describe them. The insider has some theories about how VT makes it to the P2. The theories are that the SEC will add UNC and Clemson if it is expanding by two schools. If the SEC expands by four, the VT insider hopes those schools will be UNC, DUKE, FSU and Clemson since it focuses on brands. The VT insider hopes that B1G would add VT, UVA, ND & Miami. The VT insider says that the only opportunity for VT is to join the B1G. VT insider also states that Stanford is no longer a B1G target and the potential ND travel partner to B1G is now UVA. I always thought Tech's best opportunity was the SEC. I can't see these leagues expanding to 24 teams each. The ACC and B12 will BOTH lose a lot of teams if the P2 expands to 24 teams each.
