I think either they'll succeed and we'll all leave or ESPN steps up

If ESPN swoops in with a raise to protect their investment, as they did with the Big12 when the Pac16 was about to happen, then we might just keep the band together. If FSU gets the penalty to $0 then most of the conference will leave. Even if only to form a new conference with many of the same teams to get out of the TV deal. ** Edited by 4x4hokies at 12/22/2023, 12:21:41 PM

A big issue has been FSU's failure to perform. They are as much at fault
reestuart 12/22/23 12:11 PM ET
They've won fewer than 9 games more often than 10 wins since '04.**
reestuart 12/22/23 12:49 PM ET
They won only 7 games 7 times in that period.**

That assumes there is a better TV deal out there for those schools.**

It's worth mentioning that if FSU succeeds then the Big12 are free agents**
4x4hokies 12/22/23 12:24 PM ET
Maybe - or maybe only UCF is a free agent

I'm fairly certain the bylaws say that you have to use NC courts.
4x4hokies 12/22/23 01:09 PM ET
CU et al may be letting FSU do the dirty work in hopes that FSU succeeds.**
IB4TECH 12/22/23 12:13 PM ET
Which is the smart, and honorable way to do it.
