The university alleges "chronic fiduciary mismanagement and bad faith" in the way the ACC has handled its multimedia rights agreements and undermined its members' revenue opportunities. Florida State is also accusing the ACC of breach of contract and failure to perform.

as anyone in the ACC. VT carried the conference for more than 5 years. FSU disappeared for the better part of the time since the '03 expansion. That's part of why the TV contract sux.

If ESPN swoops in with a raise to protect their investment, as they did with the Big12 when the Pac16 was about to happen, then we might just keep the band together.
If FSU gets the penalty to $0 then most of the conference will leave. Even if only to form a new conference with many of the same teams to get out of the TV deal.

FSU's claims are based exclusively on Florida law. So West Virginia, for example, does not have the same claims unless there is a corresponding claim available under West Virginia law.

I expect that it won't remain in FL.
I'm no lawyer but I believe that the relevant laws would be on interstate trade. So, for example, Florida can't just make a law that it's illegal for FSU to be in the ACC as a way to get out.
