I don't think FSU & Clemson would have ever came close to getting the EIGHT. Tobacco Road schools are never voting to destroy the ACC. Those Tobacco Road schools just oppose expansion because it could possibly threaten their control over the ACC. UNC is like Texas in the old SWC & continuing on into the Big 12. All those schools left the Big 12 to get away from Texas. UNC doesn't want an upraising like that. However it is somewhat rearing it's head with the current situation with FSU & Clemson. When FSU & Clemson leave the ACC. The B1G can just sweep in like they did twice in the PAC and take Virginia schools. If UVA accepts. The ACC will crumle like the PAC. The SEC may do the sweeping by taking other ACC members with FSU & Clemson. SMU not taking ACC money for seven years will not stop that. Cal needs ACC money very badly. Stanford & SMU refusing media shares will not add that much to a 15 member pot. This is the same type bad deal that Swofford got the ACC with ESPN. The ACC Commissioners are like the PAC commissioners.
