I mean this in terms of market structures (we basically have a duopoly now). And this translates to on the field anti-competitiveness as well. Pick a few random P2 schools and go back and look at their schedules from back in the 1970s or 80s. They used to play a REAL schedule. Real OOC road games. I was watching a 1970s Oklahoma at USC recording on YouTube this week--a September road game for the Sooners. Now, it's three or four home cupcakes. And if we're lucky, a good match up at some lame neutral site venue like Atlanta or Jerry's World. And the SEC is expanding for UT and OU but NOT playing more conference games? Total trash. Everyone's trying to keep their skirts pressed for the CFP. And the ACC isn't innocent in this. With as many teams as we have now, we should be playing MORE conference games. Clemson and FSU don't want to do it since they have in-state OOC rivals. Plus, every third year they have to play ND.
