B12 did very well, IMO

Assuming they get Utah and ASU, they will have 16 teams. They will be very stable, and will have several teams that have a track record of being in the top 10 (OSU, Baylor, TCU, Utah, UCF at least). They are in danger of having one or two teams poached by the ACC, of course, in 2030. But the B12 will get a chance to upgrade their TV contract, so there might not be a good enough reason to jump over to the ACC. UCF might be our best play then. They will be very sick of travel, and should be very attractive to us. They could be a very good FSU replacement, should it really come to that. ** Edited by Truthahn at 8/4/2023, 2:28:13 PM

The B12 is in a terrible spot. They are gloating now but all they did was

"Minor" compared to the ACC?
Pylons 08/04/23 02:22 PM ET
The ACC has multiple schools that fit in the B10 and SEC. B12 has 0.0**
ColumbusHokie 08/04/23 02:45 PM ET
Ummm, KU kinda fits - don't be so sure of all that. **
Big12 guy 08/04/23 04:52 PM ET
Ok. Where do you want the goalposts next?**
Pylons 08/04/23 03:04 PM ET
I don’t understand. I gave you an example of how the ACC is better. Maybe
ColumbusHokie 08/04/23 03:16 PM ET
I didn't make any claim about the ACC or B12 being better
Pylons 08/04/23 03:26 PM ET
It's a false choice anyway. This is not a B12 ACC thing.
Big12 guy 08/04/23 04:53 PM ET
Right. Hope is eternal. **

B12 is better situated geographically i guess**

Betcha the Big12 is gagging on the G5 teams they picked up about now 😂**
drb 08/04/23 01:27 PM ET
Nope. They are all good programs, UCF will be a blue blood one of these

The Big 12 has.....

It has nothing to do with UCF being in the B12. They are the new kid on
Big12 guy 08/04/23 04:56 PM ET
That doesn't answer.......

Hmmm, maybe you should take me with a grain of salt. BTW,

They had no choice at the time. It was either add those teams or die.**
tarheelblue 08/04/23 01:36 PM ET
Exactly. We should have killed the B12 off back then.

The Big 12 is not in the same league as the other two. So only power two.

You are talking media dollars. The B12 will most definitely compete in the

wwhokie1 08/04/23 02:02 PM ET
To a point. TCU didn't make the championship game because of media dollars.
Big12 guy 08/04/23 02:09 PM ET
Thats the Big12's greatest strength, that they have no desirable teams left**
tarheelblue 08/04/23 01:34 PM ET
That's why they will eventually end up being the number three conference.
wwhokie1 08/04/23 01:42 PM ET
The payouts of the B12 and ACC is not the endgame. Staying relevant is. **
