If they were, the PAC wouldn't be imploding as we speak

if the PAC was worth enough to pay all the schools and all the ACC schools more money than they are getting now, then ESPN would have offered the PAC enough that they wouldn't be being without a deal and being raided by the Bigs. Only way a merger works is if ESPN decides that creating a corporate merger where it is 2 conferences under a single corporate deal (the idea of a bi-coastal conference is beyond stupid as the Bigs are going to soon find out). Only way the ACC would sign up for it is if it meant increasing their revenue per team, but since no one is offering the PAC more than $20mil per team, that is obviously not gonna happen. Just more stupid click bait by people who can't do math.
