"New ACC" (after 2030)

Cuse, Pitt, WVA, UVA, VT, NCSU, Cincy, UCF, Duke, GT and, drum roll, Vandy, MD and Rutgers when the P2 kicks them out. New Big 12, SMU, TT, TCU, Baylor, Houston, OSU, KU, KSU, Isu, BYU and Northwestern/Nebraska/ Miss St when they get kicked out. PAC also gets to 12 teams with Cal, Stanford, AZ, SZ ST, Colorado, Utah additions That gets the "mid" level to 3 conferences of 12 to 13 teams each. New Big 10 the 14 remaining teams plus UNC and Miami, and holding a spot for ND. .New SEC Add Clemson and FSU. Maybe they take Kansas and drop Vandy and Miss St That puts about 32-34 in the P2, 38 or so in the little p3 and everybody else in G5 or lower. Yeah, just a WAG but I do think we will see some of the lower P2 teams get kicked out as UNC, Clemson, FSU, Miami and ND are added in.

Interesting but the idea of 70 teams at the top level
VTCALS72 03/07/25 09:46 AM ET
One of the major points of the article was that the people that-

This guy is "Big Media." "Big Media" put the plan together.
Baltimore_Hokie 03/07/25 12:29 PM ET
Yeah and I think anything that says 70 teams will be in the top level
VTCALS72 03/07/25 12:40 PM ET
The "pro model" started with 8 teams, man.
Baltimore_Hokie 03/07/25 01:05 PM ET
70 works, if distributions are on a sliding scale
obguthr 03/07/25 10:13 AM ET
Not sure we can be competitive!

Make the last 2 GT and WVU and this would be a great football league.

I want round robin leagues back.
Maroon Baboon 03/06/25 03:06 PM ET
I’m opposite. I find round robin to be repetitive and boring
HokieAl 03/06/25 09:14 PM ET
The ACC in the FSU-domination years was an anomaly.
Maroon Baboon 03/07/25 01:07 AM ET
ACC division schedule was the worst. Very much agree on that **
HokieAl 03/07/25 08:13 AM ET
Truth. And then they screwed us even harder with the 3-5-5 schedule.
Maroon Baboon 03/07/25 09:25 AM ET
and the fact that we played FSU and Clemson so few times. Just horrible**
HokieAl 03/07/25 09:31 AM ET
Round robin 10-team divisions in 20 team leagues absolutely could happen.
hokieZ71 03/06/25 06:16 PM ET
If you are going to bring back the Pac-10, then why not the Pac-8?
VTHokie2000 03/06/25 06:14 PM ET
9 conference games better than 7. **
Maroon Baboon 03/06/25 07:01 PM ET
7 conferences would allow for 4 OOC games + 1 neutral site OOC games.
VTHokie2000 03/06/25 07:11 PM ET
Ah, in antiquis diebus, when college football was the best**
Baltimore_Hokie 03/06/25 04:55 PM ET
I think that is coming for the level of the ACC/B12 and PAC.
