B1G would increase subscribers n Florida (*SC, NC, Ga) w/Clemson, & Va & NC

with UVA and UNC. UVA and UNC would have to cancel a lot of teams in the SEC, that’s something they would hate to do. They also get many high tuition students from up north and that’s a bigger deal than many sports fans think. They are a much better Academic and Cultural fit to the B1G, and would still have games in Florida and the Carolina area. So those four really make the most sense for the B1G, but John Skipper the former ESPN President and a UNC grad, is fighting it as hard as he can to get UNC and UVA to the SEC. On the other hand, Virginia Tech and North Carolina State are perfect fits culturally and academically for the SEC, but they don’t have John Skipper’s support. I think the SEC should grab Tech and State, and then add Kansas and Arizona to build up their basketball blue bloods. They both would be very comfortable in the SEC too. *All of South Carolina, Charlotte and Greensboro, and Atlanta area have many Clemson fans and alums, that would follow B1G games if Clemson joined the B1G. Not to mention the B1G schools want to recruit those areas, Florida, Virginia and North Carolina area. ** Edited by Stech at 12/16/2024, 11:37:11 AM

Why FSU (and Clemson) was looking at the B10 (and not the SEC)

Yes. And there are good options available for the B1G that are AAU.

It will be about the money. FSU might not be a "good partner." But did

I just don't see FSU as a cultural fit at all. If they want in Florida
