Well, that is going in the wrong direction.

Competition will get worse, not better. College athletics is doing all they can to shoot themselves in the foot IMHO. The last thing the powers that be are concerned about are the fans. College athletics are a microcosm of our society where all the real wealth goes to the top 1% the last 45 years - people are finally getting tired of what has happened in society and they will get tired of the same thing happening to college athletics. Unlike the NFL where the owners support the commissioner, the member institutions do not support the NCAA. Without enforceable regulation, college athletics best days will be behind them in short order. Right now, college athletics has a system where every athlete is a free agent every year with zero limits on how much they can be paid. If Kyron Drones has a break out year like so many are predicting, then what $$$ will it take for him to come back next year? Look at how Coach Young has to hustle his rear end off just to get a roster together. This is all madness and not in a good way.

This must have been pushed by the SEC and Big X
PFHokie 07/26/24 08:16 AM ET
It certainly wasn't pushed by the MAC or Mountain West. **

Maroon Baboon 07/25/24 02:51 PM ET
No need. O and D numbers can be the same. Just not on field at same time.**
Kansas Hokie 07/25/24 03:10 PM ET
