I also disagree that from top to bottom that these are better fan bases. Excluding Nebraska, how many of these have stadiums of over 70,000? Clemson and FSU I think. That's about it. In terms of value, I'd imagine that the value would be in the ballpark of what everyone is making right now. Maybe slightly more, but not P2 money. So if any of them can make the P2, they would jump (FSU, Clemson and UNC come to mind). To me, any realistic scenario to put together a national conference that rivaled the P2 was if ND and USC joined forces and took the best of the ACC, Pac-12 and perhaps several teams from the Central and Mountain time zone. Anything else at this point is just pushing peas around the plate. Edit: BTW, a USC-ND "Airplane" Conference could have looked something like this: USC, UCLA, Oregon, Washington, Arizona State, Texas Tech, Colorado, BYU, Kansas State, Oklahoma State ND, Clemson, FSU, VT, Iowa State, West Virginia, Pitt, North Carolina, Syracuse, Georgia Tech. This would be 20 teams in 19 states, including the Big Three: CA, TX, FL. If you want Ohio in there, throw in Cincinnati. Want Kentucky? Throw in Louisville. And maybe even two per state if you want (NC State, UVa, K-state, Arizona, Utah, whoever) Either way, TV coverage of the national map would have been awesome.
