How much value would this conference have?
Here's my new ACC (American Collegiate Conference). First, 12 of the present 15 members of the ACC would vote to break up the conference before the 3 new additions join. Then 12 of the 16 Big 12 members would vote to break up when they get to 16 members. Get Nebraska to leave the Big 10 and join the new ACC since there seems to be some tension between the conference and Nebraska). Notre Dame would be a non-football member but would be required to play 5-6 ACC football games each season.
As for other sports (basketball, soccer, volleyball, softball, baseball, T&F, ...) the Northeast and Southeast divisions plus Notre Dame would become one division and the Central and West divisions would become the other. Some sports (like lacrosse, wrestling, gymnastics, field hockey...) would be in one division due to lack of participants.
With Clemson, FSU, Miami, Nebraska and a part-time Notre Dame football schedule, how much value would this conference have? The conference has equal or better football fan bases (top to bottom) than the Big 10. It's a great men's basketball conference. I thought that maybe adding Cal and Stanford to get into California would be beneficial but decided to leave them out because of their poor fan football fan bases. I added Syracue and Pitt to get the votes needed to break up the ACC.
