Probably planned when they brought Cal

And Stanfird in. Would need teams to keep conference viable, expense of longer litigation helps nobody. The Gor was effective but ultimately won't achieve the primary goal of maintaining the conference. It did put the conference in position to vanish with the B12 beating the ACC to the expansion punch.
