FMV is a big problem here..
Your post is interesting for sure. Some big challenges though:
1. Determine fair market value for FSU is virtually impossible, due to entanglements you mentioned, as well as consolidation / duopoly network issues.
2. I believe Washington and Oregon were significantly and purpopesefly undervalued, as the Big10 always wanted them. The Big10 played it well and gained massive leverage over these isolated Pac10 schools. Again, another fair market value issue due to consolidation.
3. It will be interesting to see the overall impact of consolidation to the product. There's a strong argument that what made college football so valuable was the sum of the parts (eg: rivalries, traditions, inter-conference, upsets, new matchups, etc), and destroying that fabric diminishes the overall value. Advertising dollars is the main economic unit, and you can't disenfranchise too many eyeballs. Maybe the top schools will make even more now, or maybe it's the start of a downward spiral where less money advertising dollars coms in and more money goes out (eg: NIL, salaries, etc)
Interesting times for sure
