Some days I fantasize about renting a white convertible mustang and drive
around the Keys like an a-hole...see how the other half lives. I had a guy today who just stopped, full stop, on Overseas Hwy while he looked around trying to figure out what he was going to do. It's a "highway". It's not Main Street in Mayberry. It's not a place to pull out the chairs and picnic basket. There is a shoulder lane and a center turn lane if you feel the need to just stop and be you. I laid on the horn behind him, he finally pulled over, and flipped me the bird as I went by. Yeah, I'm the one.
When I got home, I folded a 3x5 index card and laid it on my steering wheel. I'm going to try to use it as a therapy type thing. I will see it when I get in the car, take a few seconds to imagine what's in store, and try to just stay calm.

But then the transmission died about four days before I went to Europe, so I had to buy a new car on the fly.

Was gonna get a quick pic ; there were several other cars there but no one was outside their cars ; the reason became rapidly apparent when I got out - a gazillion tiny biting flies of some sort instantly attacked , f the pic, lol !
