In what year did the original Rin Tin Tin die? (Guesses within +/- 2 years will be considered to be correct.)

The original RTT died in 1932. Most baby boomers (like me) thought that RTT was created during our childhood; however, there were at least 20 German Shepherds that appeared as Rin Tin Tin in various films, beginning in 1922. Interestingly, when I mentioned Rin Tin Tin to my son (born 1990), he had never heard of the dog.
