today's trivia (ignore this; new question posted above)
What name has been given to a theoretical group of invaders in the eastern Mediterranean that is linked to the collapse of Bronze Age civilization? A: The Sea Peoples are believed to have been a multi-ethnic loosely-associated confederation of seafarers who raided Bronze Age civilizations. One example of them is Israel’s Old Testament nemesis, the Philistines. It has been debated as to whether the Sea Peoples caused the late Bronze Age collapse or were a symptom of that collapse. ** Edited by lilhokie525 at 6/16/2026, 7:37:17 AM

You kinda answered your question. Thiought is they were Sicilian and nearby
Islanders which is ironic since once Greece and Rome rose, Sicily was invaded repeatedly
