today's trivia
Actor Charles Maxwell appeared on several television series including ten times as ten different characters on Bonanza. On what series did we hear his voice on at least 24 episodes, but neither saw him on the screen nor his name in the credits?

ding, ding, ding, correct!
CM was the radio announcer on Gilligan’s Island. The castaways did not have a transmitter, but they could use the radio to listen to broadcasts and obtain information. It was not clear why the batteries never gave out.

I remember an episode where the professor created something to recharge
the batteries. They were stirring water in coconuts or something.

Didn’t they have a bicycle powered generator on an occasion or 3?

I thought the Professor built something out of coconuts...

Could be both. I remember Gilligan being asked to pedal faster in order
to power the radio and/or other things.

Not to 100% trust an AI answer, but.....
Yes, Gilligan's Island frequently used a pedal-powered bicycle generator as the castaways' primary source of electrical power. The device, often constructed from a bamboo bike frame and salvaged generator parts from the S.S. Minnow, was used to: Charge the radio batteries, allowing the castaways to hear weather reports and rescue attempts. Power the camera from the Silent Film crate. Charge the Cosmonaut's capsule while the Professor repaired it. Simulate lightning bolts during recreations of the shipwreck. Operate various appliances, including a washing machine, water pumps, fans, and a makeshift telegraph. The show established that the radio batteries were rechargeable, and the bicycle generator was the consistent method used to maintain their charge throughout the series.
