Hikers, are you familiar with Meshtastic devices?
Pretty interesting...hope this continues to grow by people setting up nodes. It would be nice to have connectivity in case of emergency while out on a trail.

...significantly less expensive. Most of the ones I've seen are <$100, but you operate most of them with an app on your smartphone.
