The vast majority of human beings on the planet can’t run 100 yards at that pace.

very well wasn't a surprise. He's run 3:47 in the mile, 7:23 for 3000, 12:38 for 5000, 26:31 for 10,000, and 57:30 in the half.

I don’t know who the runners were and all that stuff so take it for what it’s worth, but I have read lots of YouTube type articles on cheating going on in Kenya and how they were threatening to ban the whole country etc. there was an article on some other guy who appeared out of nowhere in marathoning and at least up until now that just didn’t happen in the past anyway…

testing and Adidas has paid for it. There's always the chance that they have moved onto newer drugs that aren't being tested for yet, but the testing does look for a variety of markers.
Now, the newest shoes that Adidas brought out for this race are incredibly light, and it seems like they might be good for an additional minute.

Interesting about the enhanced testing, also amusing about the link to Sawe being worried about marathon's reputation, that is one doesn't have to dig to deeply to read up no it. I mean, until they get caught I take it at their word but still, I'm suspicous, Lance Armstrong never tested positive for drugs. Heck, I'm even suspicious of Usain Bolt...some of his buddies in Jamaica got turned over...
