If you hike the Appalachian Trail from south to north, list the states you encounter in the order in which you encounter them. (If you encounter a state more than once, please only list what would be your first encounter with that state)

ding, ding, ding, correct!
The longest section is VA, comprising about 25% of the entire trail. The shortest section is WV, followed by MD and CT. The mistake that all of the early guessers got wrong was that the trail crosses the GA-NC border, missing SC.

Here is a hint. So far, most people have made multiple
mistakes, but everyone has made the same mistake. I am off to church. It will be 11:30ish before I acknowledge a correct answer.

I looked it up. It says you go through 14 states. So I obviously missed a few…….. :)

Yeah, I believe I left out a couple lol!
I know we have some hikers on here that have probably done it before.
