Knee replaced Thursday and now I'm rehabbing! Uncomfortable procedure but
not nearly as bad as I was expecting. I've heard so many stories about very different reactions to this surgery. I'm thankful mine has been positive so far and I'm already looking forward to getting my other knee replaced later this year. Anxious to get back on the hiking trails!

wasn't as painful as many have described it but not much fun either.

swelling, didn't even need any PT. Had left knee done in 2016 & it was horrible, a ton of pain & swelling, had 2.5 months of PT.

without PT! Was it partial knee replacement or full knee?

His recovery has seemed to be much more painful. The first month was really rough for him both times. But, he's in his early 70s, so I am guessing you are considerably younger than him. Glad to hear you are bouncing back quickly! Make sure you do all of the therapy...I think that is the key to making a full recovery and maintaining your range of motion.

My surgeon said that my knee was in very bad shape. Sometimes you can be so used to that pain that the surgery pain may not feel as bad, since you are used to it. Don't get me wrong, there is pain, just much less than I was anticipating.
